Our primary means of raising funds is the annual golf outing held in August at Thornberry Creek Country Club.  The 2006 Golf Outing once again exceeded all expectations!   The event raised $30,000.  A gift of $20,000 was made to the Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) at the University of Wisconsin.  Another gift of $10,000 was made to the Restoring Hope Transplant House.    These donations were only possible because of your continued generosity and support.   Thank you again to all golfers, sponsors, committee members and volunteers. 

This is the third year the David Duranceau Foundation has made a gift to the OPO.  The OPO works with 97 hospitals in Wisconsin, four hospitals in Michigan and two hospitals in Illinois.   This partnership ensures all donor families are offered the opportunity to consider organ donation.   In October 2006, nine of ten eligible hospitals in the UW Health OPO service area were awarded the U.S. HRSA Medal of Honor for consistently achieving donation rates of 75 percent and higher.  For more information on the OPO, visit their website at www.uwhcopo.org
